One of the FBTs I was given is ill. He got increasingly lethargic, loss of appetite, and now has a cloudy eye. As if there is a cloudy bubble over his eye - it doesn't move when he blinks and does not contain any fluid like say a blister would. He is only able to move in circles in the direction of the bum eye. It's my understanding that this is a bacterial infection and my be too advanced for successful treatment but I'm giving it a try. I am able to get what I need to make an opthalmic type Septra (broad spectrum sulfa based antibiotic) solution so it can be given topically to reduce stress of oral or injectable administration, but I need to know how to dose it. If anyone has any prior experience or knowledge with the meds or a condition such as this please help in any way you can. I didn't expect them to really make it from the get go but would like to do anything I can to help them have long, happy, healthy lives. Thanks in advance for any input.
