hi,
im new to cresteds and was wondering about some things...
my baby is only a few months old. yesterday it had (for all i know) its first shedding. it changed color from its usual dark red to a lightish blue. it was odd to see such rapid color change, but i thought he was probably shedding. i watched him and it only took him about 25 minutes to shed completely. is that normal? also, what is the usual favorite flavor of baby food? right now im switching off between banana and mango/apple/kiwi. he seems to like the banana more.

wow, he just squeaked! he does that sometimes. is that usual, for cresteds to vocalize?

ill post some pix as soon as i get my digicam working...

thanx,
jake

Jake welcome to world of Rhacs . Everything you said is normal. Young geckos squeak when they are agitated or frightened. Adults do also in addition to when they breed. Stick to nectar fruits and stay away from citrus. Make sure he is getting crix everyday he needs the protein in order to grow properly. It’s more important while they are young. Drop me an e-mail (above) and I will send you a complete interactive care-guide . Best of luck with the new addition.
