hi again macarthur

you'll need BOTH lighting and UTH. you need the UTH because the belly heat that the leos get from it assist with digestion - so it's essential. you'll need the bulbs for lighting to keep day temps between 86F - 90F ... and a red or blue or black bulb to keep the night temps between 78F - 84F.

good luck and post a pic of freddie sometime take care!

use both the UTH and bulb if your room doesnt say around 85f.

one side of the tankshould be about 86-90 and the other about 81-84f with a hide on each end and a humid hide on the hotter side.

use paper towels as thier easier to clean up and throw away.

MacArthur I will have to disagree with the two prior posts. An UTH will be all that you need unless your house gets extremely cold. Leos do not need a basking light and it will increase the possibility of overheating your gecko.
All of my geckos (17 and counting) are healthy happy geckos with an UTH.
Good luck.

You can never have just one gecko. Actually it is almost impossible to have two
