What age to sell babies...

beardielover13 Nov 01, 2003 03:32 PM

I have been waiting to sell my babies until they are 3 months. Is this too young or what?

Three months is a good age to sell dragon babies...they should be at least 6" in length or longer as well.

We start advertising ours around the 6 - 8 week age. There are other factors to take into consideration. Size and health - just because they reach a specific age doesn't make them ready, make sure they are well established (eating consistently) and going to do well for your customer. Who and how your selling them will also play a part. If your wholesaling them to another breeder or store (experienced with dragons) and hand delivering them you can sell them younger. If your shipping them to a first time reptile owner you would want to send an older, larger dragon.

That is another thing I have been taking into consideration. So far, I have sold primarily to people I know, so that's not a problem. If they have a question or problem, they contact me ASAP.
