Cornsnake shedding question...

turbo Feb 08, 2003 06:03 PM

My baby corn is in the process of shedding for the first time since I've had him. I'm wondering if I need to give him anything to help him. Now, I've got a bowl of water so he can submerge himself and hes got a nice big piece of driftwood to rub up against. I remember reading that people put humidity boxes in their corn's enclosures. Is this necessary?

Thanks,
Jon

But it will help if the humidity is low in the cage.

My house is extremely dry, especially since it's winter, so I leave a moist hide box in my hatchling's cages all the time, not just when they are shedding. They like to use it a lot, one not as much as the others, but she still uses it.
