Hi everyone, my baby tegu now sneezes on occasion. I have heard him do it about 3-4 times in 3 days. Is this normal? Does he have a cold?

mine sneezed once and some black goo came out of his nose along with a bit of heavy breathing.. i took him to a vet and he had the beginning of a respiratory problem, watch carefully or bring him to your vet to get it looked at

while it may be something as serious as respiratory infection, it may also be that the tegus are just getting substrate in their nose occasionally. either way, you want to keep an eye on it and you might want to consider going to the vet just to play it safe.
