Help with breeding a young male

eastbuddha Nov 01, 2003 10:55 PM

I have an 18 month old male. He is 650 grams, with sperm plugs. Even though my temps have only been lowered for about 3 weeks, my other males are breeding like crazy. He is a VERY shy snake, and not really that good of a eater. Mice only. Anyway, I know that I am being really impatient way too soon.......But can anybody offer any advice to get him going? I have tried putting a smaller male in with him for a few hours, and have tried 3 different females together and separate.
He has a hide box in his cage right now, should I take it out?
Will misting him down help??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Wait till the girl/girls you want to pair him with come in shed and introduce them to him one at a time right after they shed. Good luck!
