Wow. There is hardly any info on fire skinks anywhere. Eeverybody's got 'em but nobody seems to know anything about them. Of course they require insanely high humidity and moderately high temps. I have not found any field reports on them nor have I have I found any specific information on their natural range. I have heard most are caught in Guinea but that country is just big enough to have varying climates. I would really like to get these guys breeding in captivity. Does anybody have any experience with brumating specie that cycle on a wet and dry season and not a hot and cold season. I'm assuming that the proper cycle is the key. I know some people have succeeded in breeding these. I wonder if they were using cycles or just accidentally did something right. Do they fast during the dry season? As far as I have found out, even in the dry season the humidity remains very high in Guinea. Any info would be helpful.
