Tampa Show - Saturday

trinacliff Nov 02, 2003 06:49 AM

Well, unfortunately, I didn't buy anything, but it was fun...and I was glad that I took my 3 year old son because they had a wildlife exhibit and camel rides in a room off of the building...I stumbled across it, thankfully.

I'm always surprised at what I see chameleon wise at these shows...there were tons of Jacksons (lots of wc, but some cb). That was funny because at Daytona, I couldn't find ONE...there were none there, and that is when we were possibly looking for a female. A few panthers...a group of Ambilobes, but I didn't ask how old they were...pretty large, so I assume they were not that young. I wasn't thrilled by their colors, but I'm sure they were very stressed out by all being crammed in one small cage. They were $350 - $400...but I don't recall who had them. Of course, there were lots of Veileds. I saw a good amount of Mellers which I've never seen before...boy are those suckers HUGE! There were also some Fishers, Delipis, Deremensis, Mountain...and some others that I can't remember...so, a pretty good variety. No Carpets though...if there had been one there (a CB one), I would have had to get it...but nothing.

Anyway, that's all I can think of for now.
