My snake is vomiting green !!!

calvo Nov 02, 2003 09:34 AM

I have a young Pituophis Deppei Deppei (Mexican bull snake),

I fed him about 30 hours ago. He still has a bulge however i opened his tank today to check on him and suddenly he started to vomit what looked like a green gooey type substance, then afer doing this for 2 minutes stopped and looked to go back to normal ??

What was this and did i scare him into re-gurgitating ??

Please any advice would be most welcome

Andy.

I would leave the snake alone for another few days. Make sure the snake has a good hidebox. Also, make sure the temps are not too hot, perhaps put the snake at 78 degrees or around that.

See what the feces look like in a few days. Keep us posted. Also, post again with more cage and temp details, etc.

TAke care!

I can tell you from experience that green or yellow vomit spells trouble. Don't wait around for his health to get worse, take him to the Vet right away. You'll be glad you took that extra step and didn't jeopardize his health.
