I let my water sit for 24 hours before it goes in anyone's tank. When I mist everyone down I still get hard water stains. Best way to eliminate this? Obviously distilled water can be used, but what about additives?

Additives will not do much to removed most of the salts that cause hard water stains.
Distilled, reverse-osmosis (RO), or reverse-osmosis/deionized (RO/DI) are your safest choices.
Check with local petstores. Many sell RO or RO/DI water for about 25 cents per gallon and you can use your own container.
Thanks, I figured that would be the best bet.
