What's a twisty light?
It's a flouresant light that that's wound around in a spiral so it fits in a small space. It's either uva or uvb lighting.

Hi,
Is the twisty light both uva and uvb? Uromastyx, since they come from the desert need a high output of uvb (~7%) I have seperate basking and uvb lights because I use a desert fluoresent light (for the 7%) If it gives off both then you should be fine. Most fluoresent "Human" lights don't give off any uvb only uva. Is the twisty light a reptile light?

The twisty light is a reptile bulb made by ESU or something like that. It's still on so later when it cools down Ill look to see if it is uva or uvb.

Hi Sarah. The twisty bulb is called ESU-Super UV 20 watt Coil-lamp and has uvb 3% and uva 15%. So I guess it's ok then.
Barbara
that light your talking about i know what it is , it gives off both uva and uvb rays but not alot it gives off only like 2 percent uvb ,and it doesn't give off heat
I have a Zoo Med 150watt for the heat and basking.
