Looking for Mandarin Rat Snake, any suggestions??

peterfromme Nov 02, 2003 01:32 PM

Hey,

I've been looking for a mandarin rat snake for sometime and I don't see any posted on the classified section. The few that are posted are usually adults.

Can anyone recommend a breeder who may have them? What is the going rate for them? I've seen them posted between $500-850. Does that sound about right?

Thanks,

Peter F.

The average price for a hatchling is around $400 or $450. You might find one for a little more or less.
I would try Pro Exotics. I think I saw them post an ad in the last week or so saying that they had some available.
Good luck, Randy W.

I purchased a pair from Robert Seib http://www.easternindigo.com/pricing.htm
in January of this year. He may have some hatchlings available this year (I think I saw him advertising last month).
You could also check with Stephen Emerick at Napa Valley Snakes.

As far as pricing goes, I've paid from 250.00 to 600.00 for CB Mandarins depending on age, size and coloration.
Hope that helps! They're neat little snakes.

Hi, This is robert seib. I just saw your message on the forum. I have some baby feeding mandarins you might like. If you can send me an e-mail, I can send you a link with photos.
