Dakman Nov 02, 2003 02:00 PM

Sorry I was gone for a couple days and didn't get to your request. Heres a good pic of one, I've never been told they were not Petrii. Their fattening up real nice since I've had them.

yep, look like doriae to me as they have longer, whip-like tails then petrii...

Compare the ones at uroplatus.com/php_pages.php?Datei=photopage_display&Taxon=Stenodactylus doriae&Photopage_Search=S&M=1 and tell me if theyre the same sp.

Mine look exactly like uroplatus.com/php_pages.php?Datei=photopage_display&Taxon=Stenodactylus petrii&Photopage_Search=S&M=1 except lighter in color.

(i could be wrong though)

Too hard a call for me which was the problem when I first got them. I only know I was told by several reliable sources when I first got them they were Petrii? Is there much care diff between them, do you know?

Theres no difference in care between them. Doriae has a longer tail, and a ponited snout (which isnt the case in your gecko, so it might be petrii).

Exactly how big is it though? Mines adult at 2.5".

Yep, definately not petrii. Crossoboman and Doriae are most likely your gecko, as they get almost twice the size of petrii. Petrii only max out at about 2.5-3" (including tail).

Dakman,
What ever she is she doeing great I'm glad they are in you care noe . I did think the smae thing there tail are much more thin than others I've seen photos of and they are larger than what all the caresheets I read say they get. They are wild caught so who knows the person I got them from labeled them Sand dunes but went I went to check to see if he had got a male he strill had two females and changed the name?

Hmm, I guessed at that length but I think its close. Since I bothered them today already to take pics I'll wait till tomorrow to get the tape measure out and make sure. Their not very big but just seem like more than 2.5 inches including tail.
