Whew! I did it

I spent all day today cleaning and arranging my Malayan's aquarium. I need to know the name of a good filter that can go down inside the tank not hang on the glass though.

What size tank is it?
You might need a canister filter that sits under the tank.

Best of luck,

Petsmart carries an inexpensive submersible filter made by Aquarium systems called the Duetto DJ 100. I think there is also a DJ50. They run between $17-$25. From what I've read, a canister filter would probably be better but they are also much more expensive. If you have a tight budget the DJ100 would be better than nothing. I use it with my red eared slider babies.
With one turtle it would probably work even better.

I'll post some links with info.

Your best filtration will be with a cannister, but you can also greatly increase your water quality by having a UGF set up with a powerhead on it (or more powerheads if your area is very large). The other benefit of mixing these two is they take up very little tank space. The canister sits below the tank and has only inflow and outflow tubes running up and into the tank, the UGF is under the gravel with a small uplift tube and a powerhead on it. These tubes can all be hidden with some creative arrangement of basking spots or driftwood.
