brumate turtles?

can you brumate aquatic turtles, if so how? i'd really like to brumate mine for a few reasons.

Many types of aquatic turtles will hibernate. If they are outside and you live in a cold area, they will just do it on their own. If you have them indoors, you must use refrigeration. They generally hibernate under water, so you would have to put them in a tank with shallow water in the fridge. You would have to keep them around 40 degrees or so.

Of course, you have to make certain that you have a species that does in fact hibernate. If it is from a tropical zone, it won't. Most native turtles from the US hibernate.

You don't HAVE to hibernate them under water, but you would have to make sure they stayed moist if you did it in a box or something.
