she has been digging a couple different spots now for about an hour. do virgins dig? also she is dark too is this normal?

Have you weighed her again lately? I haven't had a virgin dig, but I've had a female that was given oxytocin and dropped all her eggs dig a hole about a week after and laid no eggs, but filled in the hole like she had. It was a weird situation. When was the first time you introduced her to your Sambava? Are you sure they didn't breed (like when you weren't looking)?

i introduced them only about 2 weeks ago, but there was no contact though i never left their side. what about her color she is dark s this normal for a gravid female digging?

Is she dark with orange spots (gravid colors) or is she just dark? Where is she digging? In a plant pot? No weight info? That would be the best help. Has she not shown gravid colors ever? I wouldn't worry about the dark color much unless it stays long term.

Yes, virgins do dig. My dug last Monday and finished laying unfertile eggs by midnight. Try not to bother her too much, she will need her privacy
