Uhh kind worried because... -please...

eskadol Nov 02, 2003 04:15 PM

My LEO's are acting kind of strangely, One of my females, wont really go in her hide(shes useally always in it) But instead she just kind lays there, with her belly and backfeed spread out and her two front leggs like kinda stiff(it kinda looks like shes streing her back) with one eye closed and the other have shut?

And then my new male i bought yesterday is doing the same thing? Is the female acting like that because i switched her into a new tank? She usde be in a 10, now in a 30. And what about the male? There where together the hole night, do they miss eachother?

Thanks,
David Jones

My leos lay like that all the time. I always see them flatened out with their little arms spread out alongside their bodies. They usually do it over the UTH so it could have to do with them being a little chilly.

Hmm.. well I've had the towel over his cage the hole, hopin this would make him less stressed. But the cage he is in now, used to be my other males cage, I cleaned it all out before i put him in there. But like do male gecko's "mark" there territory? And that I maybe didnt get the smell out, so thats freeing him out?

And just kinda rearranged, the 30 gallon cage for my females, so that there hides are more private and in the back.

my leo does this too sometimes.. also over the UTH... he has one eye lid closed when he lays like that and it's weird coz he only does it every other night.. usually he keeps both eyelids open and doesn't look so tired. i think it's coz they are a little cold and tired, so they kinda hang out. sometimes leos lie outside their hides... my leo used 2 love his hides but now he likes to hang out on top or against the glass but on the UTH, i hear it's coz he's becoming more comfortable with me and his environment~
