This pretty little girl was found in a dumpster along with a smaller juvenile iguana. Someone offered to foster them but soon realized that she was not prepared to handle this girl's problems and aggression. We picked her up on Saturday and she's acclimating well, eating and pooping. She does have some issues with handling...she's one of those snap-biters.
This has to be one of the worst abcess cases we've seen. This was huge!! It had invaded the lip and gone all the way to the inside of the mouth. The abcess has been evacuated and she now has a huge wound on her face that will take a long time to heal. The swelling around her eye is subsiding and she is now partially opening the eye. This isn't something that cropped up overnight...the previous owners obviously didn't think this lizard was worthy of a vet appointment and just dumped her. Sure wish I knew where to find them.....

That poor little girl. She is in good hands now. What is with these people? And that is something relatively simple to remedy...They broke up a pit bull fighting ring in my state, removing a bunch of emaciated, pissed off poor dogs...awful...what people wont do to poor animals....sad...Lyn
