My 2 year old turlte wont eat any vegetables. The last time it ate anything not meat or pellets was when i mashed up apples and carrots in with raw shrimp. Does anyone have any idea how I could get her to eat veggies?

My turtles are about 2 inches long. I feed them pellets once every other day and veggies twice on the in-between days. I would recommend feeding your turtle veggies when it's hungry. For example, hold back food for 1 or 2 days and then give them some veggies. Leave it alone for a while (i.e. don't watch it constantly) and maybe it'll start eating. Try a variety of veggies. I've fed mine a couple of different ones, and found that they like the dark greens, like bok choy, but not napa cabbage, which is more bland. Even now when I introduce a new veggie, they might appear skeptical for a while, pecking at it and then spitting it out, but after a while they munch on it like it's the most delicious food in the world. They're just like little kids.
Will turtles eat peppers, like red bells? I'm thinking of taking home a few samples of veggies.
When I want to watch my turtle after introducing him to something new, I use a pair of binoculars that I have across the room (its the only way I can see him when he's basking). I know it sounds obsessive, but I love watching my turtle and he ducks under greenery and/or ledges whenever I get too close so I only get to see him acting naturally thru binoculars

someone else wrote to let it get hungry firs. I agree. wait a few days, it's not going to die, they are meant to go periods of time without eating anyway.
it's ok it never liked veggies before, neither did mine until 3 year of age. Turtle pellets are like candy in a way for them because they love the flavour. stave it a few days, when it's swimming anxiously everytime you walk by, then try feeding it something veggie wise. Hint: my turtle only ate basel in the beginning. It was the only thing she would eat. A few months later, she ate some banana and tomatoes. But the basil was the first introduction. Now a few years later still, and she will eat anything ANYTHING I put in there.
