I was reading this today in the USA Today.. thought I had a new way to be able to bring the Boa onboard with us.. However, the last line pretty much kills that idea.

hmm???what if I am sitting in my seat and the person next to me brings on a cat and I am allergic to cats? isn't that a risk? or what if someone brings on a dog and I am traumatically frightened of dogs? isn't that a risk?...if they are going to allow Tom Dick and Harry to bring on the fuzzy pets why not allow Butch Spike and Dweezle to bring on the scaled pets...Later Randy T.

Ok, how are rodents a public health risk and monkeys aren't? Didn't they see Outbreak?
And dogs but no spiders? I'd rather get bitten by a rosehair than a poodle. (it would have to be an angry poodle).
At any rate, if you can get proof from your doctor that you need your snake with you for psychological comfort, please tell me who your doctor is. I need to talk him into writing me a few 'prescriptions'...

What the heck constitues a threat?? As for ferrets and snakes being considered some sort of public menace - it's ridiculous. It all comes back to my old rant about the general ignorace of the public. I guess if my ferret stole someone's peanut they might get upset, but come-on, give me a break! What if a person has an allergy, like was mentioned before? I guess they are afraid that a snake is going to leap on some poor, unsupecting passenger and bite them. Sheeesh. I need my boa for emotional support, does anyone else? : )

No spiders either? Jeez, I say if a guy is so messed up he needs to bring his tarantula on board for emotional support, for God's sake, let him.
