usually you want to get a fecal done before you brumate your dragon. umm i think i would seperate them and take the male to the vet to get him checked out since you've already been giving him warm baths and hes still not going. i don't know of any beardie laxitives but there maybe be foods that make them more prone to pooping but i don't know them i think its the safest bet to take him to the vet

How is he trying to bromate? Is he not eating? If he is not eating, then he will not have anything to poo and that would not mean there is a problem, unelss, the reason is something other than bromating.

Also, if he is with some other dragons, how do you know which ones are pooping?

joel,
as far as where or not hes trying to brumate.....he tries to sleep all day in his hide, only come out to bask (4-8 hours) then back to his hide. he won't eat very much at all.....2 days ago he ate 2 small chopped pieces of his salad mix (spring mix from dole), and yesterday he wouldn't eat any salad and he hadn't eaten much of anything so i decided to feed him as much supers as he would eat(his fav) and the last time i tried this he ate 49 vitamin injected supers, yesterday he ate 6, today none just a little bit of salad.......but he hasn't gone in 6 days. has he just not eaten enough to need to go or what???????? oh, how i know hes not going is because he's TEMPERARILY housed with a 14 inch female and hes 19.5 inches.........big size difference in fecal size. anyother questions just ask

Yikes!!!! That's a huge size difference. It's a good thing he is sleeping most the day.
Please get that female out of there ASAP.

I would suspect that 49 supers in one day would compact any dragon. That would be my first guess as to the problem.

I would start giving him some soaks. Try warm water & if that doesn't work, put some cool (not cold) water in a cup and pour it near him while he is soaking in the warm water. I have found that the temp. change can induce the contraction, or pushing response (or just the urge to poo). lol How ever you want to look at it,,, That has worked for my dragons.

Good luck.

I would think that if you injected 49 supers with vitamins and gave them all at one time, you may also be dealing with a vitamin O.D. Yes, to much of a good thing can be bad. Vit. A is one that is fairly easy to O.D. on.
If you try that in the future, I would only add the Vits. to a few of them.

Just another thought.

Warm soaks are good, you can also massage gently from his stomach down to his vent several times to help lossen things up. Also, give him pureed carrots or squash. The high water content of these foods should help as well.

The fact you fed him 49 superworms could be causing problems as well. That's alot of worms to feed any dragon at one sitting. You also mentioned he spends 4 to 8 hours basking, and is in his hide the rest of the time. This isnt' that unusual as dragons will move into shed if they are getting to hot. How long do you leave his lights on? Should be between 12-14 hours of daylight. Any less and he may decide it's time to burmate.

One more question, what substrate is he on?
