What should you use to treat wild caught balls.

What meds are recommended.

I am getting in 4 adult females. I plan on housing them in a rack. With a hide spot and keep it dark. I will not try to offer them food for a week or 2. This is my first time getting wild caught BP's.

LOL! What are you treating them for? Be specific and we'll be specific.

Take a fecal sample to your vet when they make you one. (And have a herp vet lined up before you get them. Get references if possible.) If the vet finds parasites, he'll treat them. Not too expensive per dose, and the fecals shouldn't set you back too far. If they're from the same source, you can do one fecal and treat them all if anything is found. If nothing is found on the first fecal, get another one done in two weeks or next time they go poo. This will help you be sure of not having any parasites, as most common parasites have a two week life cycle.

I have read that all imports should be treated. We do not have a vet that i would trust with reptiles. I am looking to treat internal parasites. If they do not have parasites i do not think the meds will hurt the balls if giving to them anyway.

If you don't have a vet you would trust with reptiles, I'd suggest finding one.

The vet i have tells me what meds to get and how much. I administer the shots myself.
I just like to double check him. He usually goes by the book called Whats Wrong With my Snake. Not sure who its by but has alot of good info in it. I need to pick up a copy.

I have used Panacur and Flagyl with good success. However, I do not have or get many imports. Usually, I fall in love with the color of one that they swear is CBB, by him of course. Even though there's a mite and tick circus in progress. "Oh, that came from the vendor table next to mine."
