How do you breed to get a Albino Patternless?

kyle_gecko Nov 03, 2003 12:52 AM

I understand the main genetics of leopard geckos and stuff but i am not quite sure on what to breed to get a double recessive trait like this, or even a double recessive het for albino and patterenless. thanks for any help in this topic

Breed an albino to a patternless and you get double hets. Breed the double hets together, and you'll get a mix of normals, possible hets, albinos 66% het for patternless, patternlesses 66% for albino, and if you're lucky, a patternless albino. The odds of getting a PA are theoretically 1/16 if you choose this route.

Well sit right down my wicked son
And let me tell you a story
About the boy who fell from glory
And how he was a wicked son

This ain't no holiday
But it always turns out this way
Here I am with my hand

He took his sister from his head
And then painted her on the sheets
And then rolled her up in grass and trees
And they kissed 'till they were dead

This ain't no holiday
But it always turns out this way
Here I am, with my hand

Well sit right down my evil son
And let me tell you a story
About the boy who fell from glory
And how he was a wicked son

This ain't no holiday
But it always turns out this way

sweet thanks...what is the chance of getting PA's if you breed 2 PA's together? 100%? or 50?

Patternless can only give patternless genes and albinos can only give albino genes so all offspring from a patternless albino bred to a patternless albino will be patternless albinos.

Does it matter what type of Albino(Tremper, Bell, Rainwater) you use to make the PA leopard geckos? If not does one type look better then the others?

Thanks

I've never seen a Patternless Albino using the Tremper Albinos. You say they look better, can you link to a pic of one?

Here is a pic of my Patternless Rainwater "Simba"...
