I dont really have any plan but one thing I always thought would be cool is a coffee table set up, like 5x18x18high or something, get a nice thick peice of glass for the top so you look down into it, build a door on the side so you can get in the cage, i dont really have any plans when I build mine, I dont go by a certain set of plans I just go to home depot and messure and have them cut while im standing there according to what size cage I need and how it can be built with the least amount of waste,
one thing I have been thinking about is building a entertainment center, witha nice size aboreal unit in it, sometime I want to get some emmys or gtps to display

Well, I would say if your not that handy with woodworking, you may want to check out places like CagesbyDesign and see what they can come up with for you. Like I say, if your not good with wood, the money you waste trying to make a nice furniture quality cage could be put toward a custom made piece by professionals. I don't know if I'd put my dumerils out in a cage though that permits constant viewing. You may find your looking into a nice cage and seeing nothing but the substrate and other cage decorations. Arboreal species like Jason mentioned possibly putting in a nice display tend to be the best display animals. It's more natural for them to be where you can see them within the cage, and at night when your more likely to be home you'll be able to see your GTP come to life and cruise about it's cage. Best of luck to you, scroll down a ways, someone posted home made cages just the other day and some looked great. Take care!
