can a beardy have too many greens?

starmom Nov 03, 2003 12:02 PM

I find that Dakota could eat plate after plate of greens if I let him.......

Should I limit him? he is a big guy around 6 months old or so...

also re: Delilah...Ive asked and no one as answered...
she is one year old and slowing down for the winter, l5 inches long and l lbs 1/8 oz in weight.

she has not pooped in around a week...she has eaten a few supers when I drop them for her one by one in front of her, not interested in her salad spending alot of time in her log...

I take her out and get her to drink everyother day to make sure she is hydrated....

when do I worry about her?

thanks..........
b.t.w. sometimes my oldest daughter 13 y.o. posts under my name.

I don't think any growing beardie can eat too much salad, give him all he wants.

If the one that has slowed is parasite free, I wouldn't be too concerned. My yr. olds have slowed down too, but aren't brumating. Both of them have gone over a week before pooping. But look out when they do poop..lol
I was about to call in a back hoe!!

delilah is not sleeping all the time, but she is much slower than she was and is progressively getting mellower....

she has that "spacedout happy look" on her face....sometimes I touch her and she is kinda cold in her cave so I plop her down on her basking spot to warm up some.........that is ok right?
thanks...

Yeah, it's certainly not going to do any damage. I do that once in a while too, mine just go back to the hidey when they've had enough.
