brumation

hey guys, i dont wanna waste your time so heres the skinny. i keep my bearded dragons outside, well only the male now i guess (the female had respiratory complications i think, because the first thing i did when i ofund out the san diego fire broke out was go grab em and put them inside... unfortunately by the time i got there she had passed on (G-d i hope it was painless!) the ash was really heavy around here, the fire got to within a couple miles away and we were almost at the point of evacuation, but thank G-d nothing happened (except for her). now the male is back in the big cage outside... but like he was doing before the fire broke out he pretty much stays in his burrow, doesnt wanna come out, and refuses food. he getss pissed when i take him out of his sleeping quarters, and he runs around and still has good size and attention and stuff, but its like he slowed ddown and only wants to sleep. i dont even think he has touched the plants in his cage much, if at all (i rotate various herbs and leafy greens growing in there... that way they always have food available and its a lot cooler to watch 'em eat, looks more natural.
thanx,
-Jake

I would get him checked out by a vet just to make sure he has nothing wrong due to the smoke and ash, etc. Sounds like he is trying to brumate though.
