beardies and pellets..

hi

i bought some rep cal bearded dragon pellets of the internet. i wasnt paying attention and ordered juvenile ones. one of my beardies is 20 inches long and the other is 15 will they still eat them and how much should they eat??
also what are some tricks to get them to eat them .. thanks

I only feed the juvi pellets. Both my adults and babies get them. They have a higher protein level than the adult ones.

Each dragon is different on how much they will eat, so I can't help answer that.
Tricks ??? Hmmmm... try hand feeding them as a treat, drop them one at a time into his dish while he is looking and the movement should get his attention. Put them on top of his salad, they are naturally curious and will eventually try them. Don't give up!

I wouldn't give the adult food to them if they are under a year. I know that when they eat a lot of the juvi pellets their poo gets a little soft (like a green pudding) lol. It even gets worse when you give the little guys the adult food. It has more fiber and less protein than the juvie.
