Help! Anyone ever heard of darts having allergies?

frogboy310 Nov 03, 2003 08:28 PM

My male azureus becomes lethargic after about 24 hours in his tank. Once removed and put in a quarintine tank he returns to normal in about 12 hours. Furthermore the female remains in the tank unaffected. Both have lived in the same tank for almost a year. Could it be a mold or fungus that is affecting this frog. I would hate to tear down this tank as it is well established.

Any help is appreciated

wish I could help more, but I'd say to remove the other one to be safe.

What did you use to build the tank? Any glues, silicone, etc...

The tank is mvery similar to a standard fish tank and as i said they have been in it for almost a year with no problems...It does however contain alot of organic matter plants, bark, wood, which occasionally grow molds and mosses.

Could there be some intimidation going on? I know this is less likely with a sexed pair, so this is just a thought, maybe something to watch for.
