humid hide material

goalielocks Nov 03, 2003 09:38 PM

I just had a shedding scare with one of my geckos, luckily the skin was safely removed without any damage done. I checked the temperatures which all checked out so I am assuming I didn't keep the humid hide moist enough. Can anyone suggest to me what material will safely achieve the best moisture retention?

I've always used vermiculite on my adults which holds moisture far better than the paper towels I use on hatchlings and juvies.
