You need BOTH parents to have at least one copy of the albino gene to have the chance to produce albinos.

Albino is recessive, which means it takes two copies of the gene to show. The babies will get one copy from each parent. You may purchase either or both parents as only possible hets or even normals that turn out to be unexpected hets but it must turn out that both parents are at least hets for their babies to have a chance at being albino. If one parent is an albino and the other a het your chances for each baby being albino is higher (doubled to 50%). If both parents are albino then all the babies will be albino.

I can't help too much with the details of genetics. There are some very knowledgable people here like Randy Remington that can help. You also have some good info from places like Ralph Davis Reptiles (there ya boner, I supported ya!).

Now, I can tell you what you need for an Albino. I just happen to carry what it takes

1) 100% het albino (female) X 100% het albino (male)
2) 100% het albino X an Albino
3) Albino X Albino

Now, there are many other possibilities (50%, 66%, etc.). One approach:

1) 100% het albino male X WT female
2) Then breed dad to daughters - this *should* produce at least one albino. At least the odds are good.

Theoretically, a 100% het x 100% het will produce 25% albinos. So, out of 4 eggs you could get 1 or more or none. The only real way to produce all albinos is to breed an albino to an albino.
