eventually i am looking into getting a snake. Now, i have kept mice and rats so i was wondering what inexpensive snakes are out there that can be kept on insects(crickets, large roaches, mealworms, etc)? Thanks, i just wouldnt want to feed em mice&rats. (i am also getting lizards so i no about that option already, so dont tell me to get lizards)

In regards to crickets, mealworms, roaches, etc. you may have trouble finding a snake that eats just those items. Many garter snakes will eat earthworms and feeder fish, but I have found it hard to get them to eat insects. Even with my Western Ribbon I have had to fish scent my earthworms to get him to consume the worm.
