I am a complete newbie with lizards. i just bought my first one, a bearded dragon, 1 week ago. He is 4 months old eating well, and looking very good. but I have recently noticed one problem. He is mean! When i first got him i could pick him up, hold him, put him on my shoulder, pet him under the chin and he would cooperate well. The past 3 days i cant even get near him without him hissing and biting! I thought these were supposed to be tame. IS this a stage he will grow out of? Am i doing something wrong? please any advice would be appreciated.

Is he near shedding or in a shed? Mine used to get more crouchy when she's just starting to shed.
