HELP! BP question!

reptilicus81 Nov 04, 2003 01:39 PM

I have two ball pythons....one is 611 g and a little over 30 inches...I've had it for almost a year. The other one is 105 gs...not sure on the length though. I am estimating the hatchling is about 3 months old, and the semi adult is about a year and a half or two years old. What do you think?
Thanks

I have two '03 BP's. Both were right around 75g when hatched. They were about 100g after 2-3 meals (2 months old) and both are now between 300-400 g at 4 and 5 months old. Based on this growth history I would say your 600g BP is a year or less, depending on feeding schedule, prey size and type, health history, and a multitude of other factors. Just my guess, there is really no way to tell.

If you've had the 611g BP for almost a year, how big was it when you got it? Unless it was underfed by you or a previous owner, I would say it is a '02 model. Most hatchlings that I have seen weigh in around 50-90g. I would suspect it wasn't much bigger than that when you got it?
