Question about male veiled size

jdtown Nov 04, 2003 02:11 PM

I have had my male veiled since late Sept. he was 2 months old when I got him. So that would make him about 3 1/2 months old now. How big should he be? His body is just over 3 inches, not including tail. He eats like a champ, and has started to show some nice color. But I just feel he should be larger. He seems fragile to me still. Let me know if what you think.

thanks
Justin

Chams tend to stay really small for a while and then BURST into growth. By the sounds of it he'll be growing fast any week now. I noticed it in my female panther at around five months of age. I think veileds start a bit sooner... so probably between four and five months he'll eat like a pig and grow a few inches in a few weeks. 3" sounds about right for his age.
