What fruits and veggies are appropriate for red eared sliders?
Dark green leafy lettuces, such as leaf lettuce.
Thinly sliced carrot, sweet potato, and squashes.
I don't feed fruit, but I've heard of some people offering apple.

Mmm, my young turtle doesn't care all that much for veggies, but he will eat them if nothing else is available. He likes apples, and he also loves raisins. Beyond that, he's not much of a fruit man.

Lettuce isn't very high in nutriants, try mustard greens, collard greens, endive and other greens, just avoid spinach.

My turtle loves green grapes...I just drop them in his tank and he will play with them while they fall to the bottom then he eats them. They are also good because he has to work for them by tearing them apart.
I snatched a zucchini from work today and sliced off 4 discs for Mike. I'm not sure yet, but I think he might have taken a bite from one of the pieces. Its only been 2 hours and I'm not giving him pellets tonight.
Grapes? Hmm... will have to try that
Spinach? I didn't know that was bad. I almost snatched some. Good thing I didn't
Romaine? I thru in a piece the other day. I wasn't there the next morning so he either ate it or it desolved
Oh, I work for a wholesale produce company so I've been snatching produce samples and sneaking them home. Bad of me, but I don't want to waste money until I know what Mike will eat.
