Will/can res's eat tuna out of a can? I'm having some for dinner, and I figured why not give the little guy a treat, i know they can eat feeder fish and all. So would it be alright to throw in a few chunks of tuna from a can? it's the solid white in water kind (not in oil)

Yes, its okay but use the "in water" kind not the "in oil"
Just don't over do it. Water plants and fruits and greens should be the main diet unless he's a hatchling or juvenile.

also tuna makes the water really messy.

Plus, tuna's saltwater and usually people recommend against feeding freshwater turtles salwater fish. But I see no harm in a little treat. I've fed mine squid and saltwater shrimp before realizing I should switch to something more natural.
