I would like to know what every one thinks is a "good" size tank for my four D. Leucs.? I have them in a 20l now but am wanting to move them to a larger tank before they are full grown. Thanks, Jake.

Hi Jake,
A 20 gallon long aquarium should be large enough to keep 4 adult leucs in but if you're looking to move up in size its really up to you, your budget and the space you have availible. You probably don't want something too large, say upwards of 75 gallons because they might have trouble finding food in such a large tank. A 29 gallon aquarium would give the frogs an extra 6 inches of height. 38 gallons are also pretty cool sizes and are like a 29 gallon but longer. If you are looking for a tank that will give you room to play around with the terrarium design but don't want something massive you might want to get a 45 gallon. They are very high so you can use larger plants but aren't too big so that they cost a lot. Good luck

I do not really want to spend the $$ outfitting a new tank right now, but I was thinking that the 20l was a little small. Does any one else out there think that a 20l is ok for my little froggies?
I have 3 adults in a 20 high, I think that 4 in a 20 would be fine

If by 20L you mean 5 gal (1 gal = 4L) than it is too small, you should be perfectly OK with 20 gal which would be 80L.... if they are still small 5 gal is fine but you should get the bigger tank ready...

I have 4 leuc subadults in a 20 long and it seems prefect for them. I also have a 45 gallon (currently unoccupied except for plants) which is personally my favorite store bought tank for terrarium set ups since it is nice and tall for plants and still has plenty of ground space.
ON a side note, last year PetCo had their tanks for $1 per gallon for any size at Christmas time, I am hoping they do that again this year.
That is a great deal on tanks! If they do that again this year, please post on fourm. The closest petco is about 2 hrs from here so I can't always be checking in
