When i put my hand in the closest spot my cham can get to my 100w powersun, Its not HOT (i can hold it there many minutes) BUT i can feel the UV cooking my skin (im fair skinned)
My hand begins to feel that dry chapped uncomfortable feeling. But its not too hot.
Now, does a chameleon have thicker skin? They dont get 'sunburned' so its safer for them right? My cham dosnt spend minutes upsidedown under it (she just crawls around looking for an exit) but im worried about her feet and belly geting sunburned.
I dont know if anyone would really know this but i thought id try.
