Tom Dikinson posted a couple of pictures of a snake of his. Where did you get them from? Are they a result of a breeding project or can they be found that way in the wild? I kind-of inherited a large collection of garter snakes and don't have anything that looks like the one I saw posted.

These snakes originated in canada. They were first dicovered in montreal by Dr .Phil Blais. They probally were not as colorful as the ones available today. He always bred the reddest snakes together to get the best looking babies.Me and Scott felzer are the only people I know off hand that are breeding them this year.

How much do flames generally go for. Are the ones posted by Tom typical, they look very good if you ask me but I've only ever seen Tom's and one other. They originated from outside Montreal, are they Eastern or Maritime garters. Do they grow to the same size and have the same qualities (other then colour) as other common garter.

Thanks very much.
