That is a very very very cool looking gecko. I don't have any clue if its normal for het albinos to look like that or why it turned out like that but WOW!!! The saying "life is like a box of chocolates, ya never know what your gonna get" certainly applies here only we should replace *life* with *breeding geckos* hehehehehe

What type of albinos were the parents???

Thanks

That is what they look like when they hatch. Eventually the brown will fade and he should be all yellow.
Very cute

that both albino parents were het for patternless??? Is patternless the type of morph that you require both parents to have in order for it to show in the offspring???

Thanks for the clarification

In my understanding, yes both parents were het for patternless.
You can't tell by looking at a leo if it is het for anything.
Like if you breed a normal(that is not het for anything)to a
patternless you will get all normal babies, but they are hets, so if you breed one of the babies back to the paternless parent or another patternless you will get some paternless babies and some normal.
Even if you bred the babies to each other you could still get some paternless babies even though they are both normal, because they are both het for patternless.
I hope that helps.

Ya thats what i thought, thanks. I have a normal and a blizzard male. I was told that both might be het for patternless (blizzard more so than the normal). Boo, the normal, could really be het for anything so breeding them will be interesting.

I'm amazed at the differences in the look of patternless babies. Lily didn't look like that one at all but she's still adorable

Thanks for the help
Red
P.S. Boo is the top pic, Lily is the bottom. I know the pics suck, new ones soon.

I have gotten some stiped ones that are possible het for patternless. They came from parents that I got from Kelli and she says she gets them too. Better than 50% of my patternless hatchlings were striped this year.

I will be mating them with my Bell Albino males next year and maybe I will get a striped Bell PA??? One can only dream.

What's it matter if the hatchling patternless is striped or not, they all end up with nothing.

Well sit right down my wicked son
And let me tell you a story
About the boy who fell from glory
And how he was a wicked son

This ain't no holiday
But it always turns out this way
Here I am with my hand

He took his sister from his head
And then painted her on the sheets
And then rolled her up in grass and trees
And they kissed 'till they were dead

This ain't no holiday
But it always turns out this way
Here I am, with my hand

Well sit right down my evil son
And let me tell you a story
About the boy who fell from glory
And how he was a wicked son

This ain't no holiday
But it always turns out this way

The parents and the sibs to this little guy are all Tangerine Albinos.
There is no history of patternless in either of the parents.
Maybe mom and dad had a dormant gene that did not show untill now.
I posted the original post because he came from a clutch of one tang albino and him. I thought it was odd to get a odd looking patternless from albino parents with no history of the patternless gene. Both mom and dad are 4.5 years old and have never produced patternless before. Atleast I know that he is 100% het for albino.
