hi,
altho most probably would not agree, i keep 1 male with 4 females at this time.
i have mixed male with females for a number of years. i have had no problems as of yet. i would like to note that i never have more than 1 male in a tank and i do not have or expect to have any babies.
so far, everyone lives happily!

For a while I had my blizzard male living with two females and it was great. They'd just lounge about all day. After breeding tho my male got kinda snippy and would still chase the females around and they'd try and fight back. I needed to separate them cause my blizzie went a little too far and got a good nip on his head. It healed up fine tho.
Another male of mine, an jungle Tremper albino is just fine with the ladies. I had him in a group of 4 females for a long time. He's a big sweetie. The whole group would curl up in a hide box together.
Best thing to do would just be to try them out and watch. Some do great up until they're ready to breed. Some will still be fine even after breeding season.
