my 2yo argentine red tegu went down last winter. u really dont' have to do anything, just let them do what comes natural. i would keep a close eye on her and make sure that if she were to wake up, she would have fresh water. also, i kept her daylight hours to a minimum, i think it was about 9-10 hours of light a day. right now she is still pretty alert, trying to fatten her up. good luck

Do you keep her inside in a cage and just allow her to bury herself in the substate. If so what temp is ok. The room i have mine in stays at about 70-75 degrees. So if mine does go into hibernation should I put him in the garage where it stay around 50 degrees for most of the winter
all of my tegus live outdoors here in S Florida. they are getting ready to go to sleep now in fact. I throw in a heating pad for them once the temps drop below 60. That way they regulate themselves by going on top or below or next to it.
