After a month of practically not eating I finally have gotten our juvie to eat 5 crickets and a waxworm in the past week. Problem is it will only eat if I do the follwing: I will dab a small amount of babyfood on it's snout. From there it will lick the food off. While it's licking I will place a cricket- or so far only one waxworm right in front of it so it will lick that too. From there it will eat a max of 2 crickets at a time. My question is why wont it eat on its own? It will follow a cricket walking with its head but not attempt to eat it. I'm attempting to get a bit of weight on it so for the time being I will continue to feed this way, but am I "spoiling" it or otherwise making it lazy? I would assume if it is hungry it will find it's own food if provided but no luck at all there. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Tim
