Whats the temperature during the day.Mine will sit in her water all day if the temps get around 88-90 degrees, then she'll poop also.Easy clean up, just sucks that shes sitting in it when she does do it.So is your new blood mean once you hold him.Usually they are fiesty when your trying to get them out of the cage and then it's no problem.I have one red blood thats fiesty and hard to get out of the cage, I will just keep working with him until he settles down.Good luck with your new blood, they're the best. I would make the humid hiding spot a bit wetter, your snake is probably looking for more moisture. It could also be the temperatures, make sure they are not too high. As for her being mean, well I wouldn't want a snake that is always biting and striking so I would tame her down with regular handling. If you don't mind her nippiness then just let her be.

Congrats! make sure to check her/him over for mites as prolonged soaking can mean external parasites...

also, many new blood pythons will prefer there water tub, over there hides if its big enough to soak in, but will soon begin to use there hides.

Also, temps and humidity levels may be off...
