Respitory and Breeding??

SerpentGuy Nov 05, 2003 09:32 PM

My female Brazilian Rainbow Boa developed A SLIGHT respitory problem during cooling. I'm still going to go through with the cooling but am watching her very closely. My question is, will her SLIGHT respitory problem affect her breeding in the future months to come if it doesn't get any worse???

thx ~ron

it could depend on how SLIGHT it really is, and how far along it is. get it checked out first. breeding is second. hopefully you get it soon enough there will be no ill effects, and get it cleared up.

There is no such thing as a "SLIGHT" respiratory infection. An infection is an infection and means your boa is ill. Unless you take action now it can only get worse. You should remove her from cycling and give her normal maintenance temperatures and keep a close eye on her. Boas with RI should not be bred. Take a look at my post on the drug Tylan a few threads up.
Her health is more important than making babies....would you not agree?

.. absolutely correct. Sick boas should not be bred.

I salute your clear thoughts on this subject!
