What the monitor needs is a vet. Forums can't help with medical advice.

What you need, is to assess whether a huge vet bill, and prolonging the animal's suffering, will enable him to live a quality life. Forums can't help with that, either.

If it was me, and I got an animal in dire shape that I was neither looking for, or prepared to keep, I'd give it some comfortable quiet place to die. Even if I wanted to keep it, and it was dying, I'd let it. But that's me.

First you have to make a decision. A vet might help with that decision.
Good luck.
