That doesn't sound good, and if I were you, I'd find a good herp vet in your area and take your little cham. Wheezing is not good, and neither are eyes staying shut during the day. Sorry not more help, but I think it's imperative that you get it to a vet.

Your little one needs to see a Doctor. No if's, ands or buts about it.

It sounds like she's in trouble. And I have not seen any home remedies posted on here to cure the problems your chameleon is having.

My guy had 2 upper respiratory infections last winter...and the only thing that got him through it was the care of a vet.

Good luck to you and your chameleon...I hope she gets well soon!

Take it to the vet as soon as possible. Try to take a fresh fecal sample with you if possible. The vet may want to check it. Also, you should remove the peat moss you're using as a substrate. It retains too much humidity & bacteria. I don't use anything at all on the bottom of my Cham cages except the cage bottom itself. Easy to clean, keep dry, & disinfect.
I'm far from being a vet, but it sounds like your little Cham has an upper respiratory infection. Caused by too little heat or too much humidity. Check to see if the basking temp is where it should be. Use a thermometer. Don't guess at it.
Like I said, I'm not a vet, but I hope this bit of info helps. Good luck with your Cham. Hope it gets well. It's always painful to see a pet get ill.

Hello lizardboy187. Just checking to see how your little girl is doing. Did you get her to a vet? If so, I'd like to know what you were told. This information could possibly help other Chameleon owners. Thanks & good luck.
