Shipping dilemma!!!!!!!!

Shipping dilemma!!!!!!!!

I have the opportunity for wonderful tortoise 40lbs but its from an individual in boston and I live in Miami. Does anyone know any way to ship on a one-time basis? Delta Dash wants an account and guarantee 3 additional shipments per year. Ups says no turtles or snakes, and they seem to consider tortoises the same as turtles. The seller is willing to ship, but has no experience shipping either.

I don’t want to lose this opportunity, I won’t, BUT I really don’t want a road trip across the US.
Any Ideas?

If you've found a shipper, congratulations!
If not, you might want to check out the discussions on the "Shipping" forum here at Kingsnake.

Good Luck!

I adopted one that was shipped from New York. They used US Airways. They shipped in a dog kennel type thing with lots of hay. She had an actual flight number and I had to pick her up at the airport. But she was here in a few hours. Good luck.
