Putting holes into plastic shoe boxes. What do you use? More.....

Leo Lover May 30, 2003 02:47 PM

All I have is a drill, and I had my boyfriend help me out with it. With the drill it cracked some of the plastic boxes. Not too bad though, but there was definelty cracking.

I am just curious as to what everyone else uses and where to find something easier to work with so that I dont have tons of cracked shoe boxes.

Thanx for all your help. I really appreciate it.

Go to Walmart and get the cheapest soldering iron you can find... burns perfect holes in the rubbermaids.

I had my dad do this, but he used a dremel, i think it was called. I dont know how expensive those are though. We also used a soldering iron on one of the boxes. Both of them worked great.

Just get a cheapo screwdriver or an old one that has the edge ruined, heat it in the gas flame on the stove, and push it through.
